UMA Health Camp 2026
Wellness for Growth: Integrating Health into Trade
The Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA), in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other healthcare stakeholders, will host a free Health Camp during the 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair, taking place from 2–11 October 2026.
The Health Camp will provide exhibitors, visitors and surrounding communities with convenient access to preventive healthcare services, medical consultations and practical health information. It will also demonstrate the important connection between good health, workforce productivity and sustainable industrial growth.
Free Health Services
Visitors to the Health Camp will have access to:
- Blood pressure and diabetes screening
- HIV testing and counselling
- Eye and ENT services
- General medical consultations
- Vaccination and preventive care
- Nutrition, hygiene and mental health education
- Occupational health and workplace wellness guidance
- Emergency medical response, ambulances and mobile clinics
Our Objectives
The Health Camp seeks to:
- Make preventive healthcare more accessible to trade fair participants.
- Promote awareness of government health programmes and healthy lifestyles.
- Strengthen collaboration between the health and industrial sectors.
- Showcase products and innovations from Ugandan health-sector manufacturers.
- Promote wellness as a driver of productivity and economic growth.
- Support Naguru-China Friendship Hospital through a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

The Health Pavilion
The pavilion will provide a welcoming and accessible environment featuring:
- A registration and information desk
- Screening and consultation areas
- A health education corner
- A vaccination and preventive-care area
- An emergency response station
- Medical and wellness product displays
- A Corporate Social Responsibility showcase
Clear walkways and accessible paths will ensure easy movement throughout the pavilion.
Corporate Social Responsibility
As part of the Health Camp, UMA and its partners will support Naguru-China Friendship Hospital through the donation of essential items. This initiative reflects UMA’s commitment to improving community health and strengthening healthcare delivery beyond the trade fair.
Partnership Opportunities
UMA welcomes collaboration with government agencies, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions, medical schools, universities, healthcare manufacturers, insurance companies, development partners and other organisations committed to promoting public health.

Expected Impact
The UMA Health Camp is expected to increase access to preventive healthcare, raise awareness of government health programmes and strengthen cooperation between public institutions, healthcare providers and manufacturers. It will also enhance the trade fair experience by placing health, wellness and social responsibility at the centre of industrial development.
